How to Vote

Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 30. All registered voters who live in the Lake Pend Oreille School district within Bonner County, Idaho, are eligible to vote. The Bonner County Clerk’s Office facilitates all elections.

To vote you must register with the Bonner County Clerk. You must be 18 years old, a U.S. citizen and a resident of Bonner County for at least 30 days prior to the election. If you have not registered in advance, Idaho provides for Election Day registration. Want to vote absentee? If you wish to vote absentee, you don’t have to wait until Election Day – you can vote in advance, up until August 26, 2016. Simply go to the Bonner County Elections Office, Suite 124, of the County Building at 1500 Highway 2, Sandpoint, open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each business day. Click for Google map. Absentee ballots returned by mail must received by the Elections Office by 5 p.m. on August 30.

Polling Locations: Citizens are required to vote at their regular polling sites and must show valid identification when voting.If you are not clear on what a valid id is or if you don’t have one you can sign an affidavit at the polls. Get more info here».
